Trailblazers Walk: LaBagh Woods
Please join us as we explore the flora and fauna of LaBagh Woods this summer. We will look for birds as well as odonates, dragonflies, and damselflies. Let’s see how many we can find!
During the hike we will cover:
- Bird and odonate indentification at LaBagh Woods
Difficulty level: Intermediate-advanced hikers. LaBagh has few paved trails, so we will be hiking on rough terrain. Please plan accordingly. Sturdy hiking shoes are recommended.
Parking/Meeting location: Enter the parking lot from Cicero Ave. We will meet on the bridge over the Chicago River.
What to bring: Water, hat, bug spray, sunscreen, binoculars, camera.
Patricia O’Donnell will be your guide: Patricia is a birder, nature enthusiast, and a volunteer with Friends of the Forest Preserves, including a Trailblazers leader.
