The Hidden Life of the Forest Preserves: North Branch with Derek Ziomber, Field Organizer

July 29, 2020: 12:00 AM

This event has passed, but you can see a recording of this webinar on our  YouTube channel.
The forest preserves along the North Branch of the Chicago River have survived as strongholds for native plants, wildlife, and migrating birds, despite being surrounded by densely populated urban and suburban areas. This is largely thanks to volunteer restoration efforts that have been going on for over 40 years. Join Derek Ziomber, North Branch Field Organizer, to learn about what makes these preserves so special, how to get the most from your visit to the North Branch, and how you can become part of the community of people working to save the natural areas of the North Branch.

You must register to attend. If you cannot make the live webinar, a recorded version will be made available the following day on our YouTube Channel.

This webinar is part of a series, The Hidden Life of the Forest Preserves in Cook County, Illinois.
