Trailblazers: Sandridge Nature Center Walk
Join us for a walk through Lost Beach Trail at Sandridge Nature Center as we learn about native plants and bird species.
Difficulty Level: Easy, the trail is a 1.4 miles loop
Parking/Meeting location: Sandridge Nature Center guest parking lot.
Meet your volunteer guide: Joshua has been visiting Cook County Forest Preserves since he was a child. He has worked outdoors on several conservation crews and is very enthusiastic about nature. Some of his favorite sites are in the Calumet region including Whistler Woods, Kickapoo Woods, and Sandridge Nature Center. Joshua also has a passion for connecting people to nature and their local trails. Joshua aims to bring awareness to the natural beauty of the forest preserves of Cook County.
What to bring/wear: Dress for the weather, hiking boots, and water.
