SUMMARY:Trailblazers: Glenview Woods Walk
DESCRIPTION:Step into spring with us as we enjoy the greening of the woods to start the season. \n\n\n\nTake in the fresh air and join the group to explore this lovely site. We’ll cross the river and head into Harms Woods\, included in the Illinois Natural Areas Inventory\, and see if we can spot a spring ephemeral or two popping out of the ground. It’s possible to view waterfowl and other wildlife in this area. \n\n\n\nDifficulty Level: The walk will be on unpaved paths\, and stepping over obstacles may be required. \n\n\n\nParking/meeting Location: We’ll gather in a clearing adjacent to the parking lot. \n\n\n\nMeet your Volunteer Guide: Diane has a lifelong interest in nature. She completed the University of Illinois Master Naturalist program in 2023 and is a certified seed collector for Cook County Forest Preserves. An avid hiker\, she has formed and led walking groups for 15+ years. \n\n\n\nWhat to Wear and Bring: Water for hydration\, good sun protection\, a hat and good walking shoes.
