Set in the calming landscape of the forest preserves\, this beginner-friendly class will guide you through gentle\, flowing movements to support balance\, mindfulness\, and inner strength. \n\n\n\nMia brings a unique blend of wellness expertise and community leadership. In addition to teaching taiji (tai chi)\, yoga\, and meditation\, she’s an actor\, producer\, and hospice nurse deeply engaged in advocacy and the arts. Her vibrant\, inclusive teaching style helps people of all backgrounds reconnect with themselves and the world around them. \n\n\n\nTaiji (tai chi) is proven to reduce stress\, improve flexibility and heart health\, and is accessible to all fitness levels. \n\n\n\nNo experience needed. This 76-acre site depends on a community of volunteers to remove invasive species\, spread native seed\, and much more. Large pin oaks are a unique feature of this preserve\, which is also home to some beautiful spring ephemerals. \n\n\n\nVisit The North Branch Restoration Project on Facebook! \n\n\n\nYouth under age 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent/guardian or attend with a chaperoned organized youth group (school\, scouts\, church). \n\n\n\nDirections: Enter the preserve from Harts Road\, just west of Touhy and Caldwell and look for the volunteer sign.
